Who am I? What do I value? What is it like working me? Those are all really important questions, especially if you are considering having me follow you around on one of the most significant days of your life.  

 

It feels impossible to talk about my approach to photography without mentioning the experiences that have lead me to the now. The biggest pieces of me that ultimately influence my perspective are at the essence of what lights my heart up and makes me press the shutter button. 

 

It’s been a decade long learning process. For 8 of those years, I’ve navigated marriage & partnership to my best friend. For 5 of those years, I’ve been on the heart-expanding (more like exploding-to-pieces) ride that is motherhood.

 

I can’t think about the importance of your own wedding day without reflecting on my own. I can't consider the enormity that is two people committing futures and dreams and support to each other, without wondering how your mothers survived all the sleepless nights. How you were once trying to focus your eyes and differentiate shapes, and here you are setting the foundation for all your tomorrows. And I can’t honor the significance of bringing your most beloved community together in celebration, without knowing in my bones how once-in-a-lifetime that opportunity truly is. 

 

Photography has gifted me the incredible privilege of fast-passing myself into one of the most intimate, heartfelt, joyful days there is. These are your people, your stories, your tears and laughter. I know these images will be reminders of the best of times, and will carry you through some of the bad ones, so I document them in a way that I would want my own story told.

There is a through-line to almost every wedding day; the preparation, the promises, the celebration. Beyond that, all the details that come together along the way, it’s all up for personal curation. From very early conversations I’m encouraging couples to truly focus on how they want to FEEL, and how they don’t, and create a day that prioritizes exactly that. 

 

I never want photography to hinder your experience on your wedding day. I work to ensure that my presence creates the space for you to be PRESENT, with your people, in your feelings, and trusting that I see and value you. I will never ask you to do anything that isn’t authentically you.
